Samsung Sues Apple Over iPhone 5

Samsung is definitely feeling good after being able to lift the nasty ban on their ’11Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Samsung has added the iPhone 5 in their counter suit against Apple. What Samsung has to say is that the iPhone 5 including its older versions, iPod Touch’s and iPads violate a number of their 3G patents including some additional features. The decision by the court will be taken on 6th of November whether if Samsung can add Apple’s iPhone 5 to their case.

Have a look at what Samsung had this to say about the new development:

“We have always preferred to compete in the marketplace with our innovative products, rather than in courtrooms. However, Apple continues to take aggressive legal measures that will limit market competition. Under these circumstances, we have little choice but to take the steps necessary to protect our innovations and intellectual property rights.”

Recently Apple successfully managed to convince the jury that Samsung products infringed upon Apple’s UI design patents and trade dress. Further filing a second case against Samsung claiming more than twenty recently launched products, including the Galaxy S3 and Google’s Galaxy Nexus. The iPhone 5 will be Officially added to the list of products only after the hearing.
