Apple Asks For $2.5B For Patent Claim And Damages From Samsung

Things have been finally sorted out between Apple and Samsung. The court documents state that the techno giant Apple has a strong stand and is seeking to recover 2.5 Billion US Dollars towards damages for the patent infringement, Also $30 per device. According to Florian Mueller, Apple pitches Samsung’s infringement costs at $500 million in lost profits, and further $25M in “reasonable royalty damages.”
Major damages relate to design patents and entitled approximately $24 per samsung’s device violating Apple’s design patent and trade dress rights. Apple feels that Samsung has made over two billion dollars, hence the claimed total amount being $2.525 billion. Apple also alleges that Samsung has been “unjustly enriched” by further, although that specific amount isn’t revealed. Mr Florian Mueller is a specialist in intellectual property cases and many of the continual court battle have been commentated on by him.
